Are my comments and tracked changes deleted?
No. They stay; only the names on them are replaced with “Author”. To remove the comments themselves, delete them in Word, Excel or PowerPoint.
Does it change what the document looks like?
No. Only the hidden properties you choose are removed. The tool shows what it found before you decide, and checks the cleaned copy afterwards.
