PL Tools is free with no signup. The AI request itself is billed by your own provider account — Google's Gemini has a free tier, so many people pay nothing.
Do I need an API key?
Yes — your own key from Google Gemini (free tier available), Anthropic Claude, OpenRouter (for GPT and many others) or a local model like Ollama. It's saved only in your browser and you can remove it any time.
Where does my document go?
The PDF's text is extracted in your browser, then sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you chose. It never passes through PL Tools servers.
Which formats are supported?
Input: Text-based PDF or pasted text. Output: Text (copy or .txt).
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. PL Tools works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, tablets and desktop — there's nothing to install.
